Our 14-day Mediterranean cruise aboard Oosterdam (Holland America Line) brought us to Salerno, Italy, on August 28, 2026. The port was one of the Italian stops on our voyage from Athens to Barcelona, taking us along the coast of southern Italy before continuing toward Civitavecchia and the western Mediterranean.

Our 10-day Caribbean cruise aboard Zuiderdam (Holland America Line) brought us to Oranjestad, Aruba, on April 1, 2026. The colorful waterfront and harbor provided the setting for our visit aboard the first of Holland America’s four Vista-class ships.

Our 14-day Mediterranean cruise aboard Oosterdam (Holland America Line) brought us to Ajaccio, Corsica, on August 31, 2026. The visit came during our voyage from Athens to Barcelona, with the Vista-class ship spending the day in Ajaccio before continuing west toward Marseille and Gibraltar.

Our Alaska cruise aboard the Queen Elizabeth (Cunard) began at Vancouver’s Canada Place on June 24, 2022. These photographs were taken while the ship was docked and we were preparing to board for a seven-night voyage to Alaska, with visits to Glacier Bay, Icy Strait Point, Sitka, and Ketchikan before returning to Vancouver.

My first cruise was a seven-day Caribbean voyage aboard Song of Norway (Royal Caribbean Cruise Line), sailing round-trip from San Juan, Puerto Rico. These photographs include a visit to St. Maarten during a trip that introduced me to life aboard a cruise ship and remains a memorable part of my interest in ocean travel.

On September 30, 2025, the Queen Elizabeth (Cunard Line) made a graceful evening departure from Los Angeles Harbor, her illuminated decks shimmering against the twilight sky. As she sailed astern into the Pacific, the ship’s elegant profile and distinctive Cunard design reflected the timeless sophistication and grandeur that have defined the line.

This collection features original paperwork and memorabilia from our unforgettable honeymoon crossing aboard the Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) during her historic 30th Anniversary Transatlantic voyage—Voyage 1160—from Southampton to New York, April 14–20, 1999. This sailing also marked the final leg of the QE2’s 1999 World Cruise.

On July 30, 1993, the Southward (Norwegian Cruise Line) set sail on a 3-day Baja Cruise from Los Angeles, visiting Catalina Island and Ensenada, offering passengers a fun and relaxing getaway along the Pacific coast.

In March 1990, the Azure Seas (Admiral Cruises), formerly known as the Southern Cross, sailed from Los Angeles to Ensenada, offering passengers a short yet memorable getaway along the Mexican Riviera.

Embarking on an iconic eastbound transatlantic crossing aboard the Queen Mary 2, Cunard Line’s flagship, was a journey of timeless elegance and maritime tradition. From December 3 to December 10, 2024, we sailed from New York to Southampton, experiencing the grandeur and sophistication of the world’s only true ocean liner. The voyage offered seven days of unparalleled luxury, featuring exquisite dining, enriching lectures, world-class entertainment, and the serene rhythm of the open Atlantic.

The Viking Skadi took us on an unforgettable 15-day Grand European Tour, sailing from Budapest to Amsterdam from July 3 to July 20, 2024. This journey through the heart of Europe offered breathtaking views along the Danube, Main, and Rhine Rivers, with stops in iconic cities and charming towns across Hungary, Austria, Germany, and the Netherlands.

Embark on a journey through Norway’s breathtaking fjords and charming coastal towns aboard the Rotterdam, a Pinnacle-class ship operated by Holland America Line. This 7-day cruise, sailing from July 27 to August 3, 2024, combined luxurious onboard amenities with scenic highlights like Nordfjordeid, Molde, Geiranger, and Bergen.

In July 2004, we embarked on the RMS Queen Mary 2 (Cunard Line) for an 11-day cruise from Southampton, UK, marking a series of inaugural visits to the Baltic Sea and Northern Europe. On July 24, 2009, Carnival Elation (Carnival Cruise Line) was photographed docked in San Diego, California, preparing for her next voyage along the Mexican Riviera. The summer light reflected off her bright white hull and signature red, white, and blue funnel as passengers embarked for a week of sunshine and relaxation.

From June 24 to July 1, 2022, the Queen Elizabeth (Cunard Line) embarked on a scenic journey from Vancouver, British Columbia, to Alaska, capturing the raw beauty and majesty of the northern landscapes.

During an 11-day Northern European cruise aboard Cunard’s RMS Queen Mary 2, the ship made her inaugural visit to Ålesund, Norway, on July 15, 2004. Arriving early in the morning, Queen Mary 2 received a warm welcome from the city as residents gathered to celebrate her first call.

On July 23, 2022, we boarded the Pearl Seaways (DFDS Seaways) to Oslo, Norway in the vibrant port of Copenhagen, Denmark, under a clear blue sky. This robust cruiseferry, serving as a vital link between Denmark and Norway, stood ready for its next journey.
