SONG OF NORWAY
My very first cruise was a seven-day Caribbean voyage aboard Song of Norway (Royal Caribbean Cruise Line), sailing round-trip from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Though I only have a few photos from that trip, the memories remain vivid—standing on deck while skeet shooting at sea and posing in front of the ship while visiting St. Maarten. It was the experience that began my lifelong fascination with ships and ocean travel.

On September 30, 2025, the Queen Elizabeth (Cunard Line) made a graceful evening departure from Los Angeles Harbor, her illuminated decks shimmering against the twilight sky. As she sailed astern into the Pacific, the ship’s elegant profile and distinctive Cunard design reflected the timeless sophistication and grandeur that have defined the line for over a century.
AZURE SEAS
In March 1990, the Azure Seas (Admiral Cruises), formerly known as the Southern Cross, sailed from Los Angeles to Ensenada, offering passengers a short yet memorable getaway along the Mexican Riviera.
QUEEN MARY 2
Embarking on an iconic eastbound transatlantic crossing aboard the Queen Mary 2, Cunard Line’s flagship, was a journey of timeless elegance and maritime tradition. From December 3 to December 10, 2024, we sailed from New York to Southampton, experiencing the grandeur and sophistication of the world’s only true ocean liner. The voyage offered seven days of unparalleled luxury, featuring exquisite dining, enriching lectures, world-class entertainment, and the serene rhythm of the open Atlantic.
VIKING SKADI
The Viking Skadi took us on an unforgettable 15-day Grand European Tour, sailing from Budapest to Amsterdam from July 3 to July 20, 2024. This journey through the heart of Europe offered breathtaking views along the Danube, Main, and Rhine Rivers, with stops in iconic cities and charming towns across Hungary, Austria, Germany, and the Netherlands.
ROTTERDAM
Embark on a journey through Norway’s breathtaking fjords and charming coastal towns aboard the Rotterdam, a Pinnacle-class ship operated by Holland America Line. This 7-day cruise, sailing from July 27 to August 3, 2024, combined luxurious onboard amenities with scenic highlights like Nordfjordeid, Molde, Geiranger, and Bergen.
RMS QUEEN MARY 2
In July 2004, we embarked on the RMS Queen Mary 2 (Cunard Line) for an 11-day cruise from Southampton, UK, marking a series of inaugural visits to the Baltic Sea and Northern Europe. This gallery showcases a collection of photos from this historic journey aboard the Queen Mary 2 in her inaugural year.
CARNIVAL ELATION
On July 24, 2009, Carnival Elation (Carnival Cruise Line) was photographed docked in San Diego, California, preparing for her next voyage along the Mexican Riviera. The summer light reflected off her bright white hull and signature red, white, and blue funnel as passengers embarked for a week of sunshine and relaxation.

NORWEGIAN SPIRIT
Embark on a photographic journey aboard the Norwegian Spirit (Norwegian Cruise Line) from the tropical warmth of Hawaii to the icy vistas of Alaska. On July 15, 2004 during an 11 day Baltic and Northern European cruise we were on the RMS Queen Mary 2 (Cunard Line) made a memorable inaugural visit on July 15 to Ålesund, Norway, where the city greeted the ship early in the morning to celebrate her first arrival.
PEARL SEAWAYS
On July 23, 2022, we board the the Pearl Seaways (DFDS Seaways) to Oslo, Norway in the vibrant port of Copenhagen, Denmark, under a clear blue sky. This robust cruiseferry, serving as a vital link between Denmark and Norway, stood ready for its next journey across the serene Baltic Sea.
RMS QUEEN MARY 2
On July 15, 2004, the serene waters of Geirangerfjord in Norway served as a magnificent setting for the RMS Queen Mary 2 (Cunard Line). This majestic liner, surrounded by the towering cliffs and lush greenery of Geiranger, was captured in a series of photographs showcasing the dramatic scale of the fjords and the elegance of the ship.
MONARCH OF THE SEAS
On April 14, 2006, the Monarch of the Seas (Royal Caribbean) was captured leaving Los Angeles Harbor, embarking on another voyage under a blanket of overcast skies.

In a historic maritime event, the RMS Queen Mary 2 (Cunard Line) met its illustrious predecessor, the RMS Queen Mary (Cunard Line), for the first time in Long Beach harbor on February 23, 2006. This "Royal Rendezvous" marked a special moment in the annals of ocean travel, celebrated by thousands of spectators.

On the evening of January 23, 2006, the Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) (Cunard Line) was captured in a stunning photograph during her annual world cruise, as she is docked in the port of Los Angeles.

These photos were captured on July 13, 2004, during the RMS Queen Mary 2’s (Cunard Line) inaugural 11-day cruise to Northern Europe. This remarkable journey included a stop in the Firth of Forth near Edinburgh, marking the ship's first-ever visit to all the ports on this route.
