A regular visitor to the Caribbean during her seasonal deployments, the 2011-built ship is the fourth member of Celebrity’s five-ship Solstice Class and remains recognizable for the real grass Lawn Club covering part of her upper deck.
On March 31, 2026, the Celebrity Silhouette (Celebrity Cruises) was docked in Willemstad, Curaçao, during a Caribbean cruise. Entering service in 2011 as the fourth ship of Celebrity’s Solstice Class, the ship is easily recognized by the expansive Lawn Club located high on her upper decks.
Built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, Celebrity Silhouette continued the design introduced with Celebrity Solstice in 2008. At approximately 122,000 gross tons, she combines the large open interior spaces of the Solstice Class with distinctive features including a real grass lawn at sea, extensive balcony accommodations, and a broad selection of restaurants and lounges.

Construction and Launch:
Celebrity Silhouette was constructed by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, for Celebrity Cruises.
She was the fourth vessel constructed as part of Celebrity’s five-ship Solstice Class.
The class began with Celebrity Solstice in 2008 and introduced a completely new generation of ships for the company.
Construction of Celebrity Silhouette continued the rapid expansion of the Solstice-class fleet during the late 2000s and early 2010s.
The ship was assembled inside Meyer Werft’s covered construction facilities in Papenburg.
Following her float-out, she made the carefully controlled journey along the Ems River from Papenburg toward the North Sea.
