June 30, 2022 | Alaska Cruise – Day 7: At Sea

Day 7 of our 2022 Alaska cruise aboard Queen Elizabeth (Cunard) was spent at sea on June 30, 2022, as the ship sailed south toward Vancouver. Following three consecutive port days at Icy Strait Point, Sitka and Ketchikan, this final full day aboard provided time to enjoy the ship and the surrounding coastal scenery before returning to Vancouver the following morning.

Day 7 of our seven-night Alaska cruise aboard Queen Elizabeth was spent at sea on June 30, 2022, as the ship sailed south toward Vancouver. It was the final full day of Voyage Q220, following three consecutive days in Alaska at Icy Strait Point, Sitka and Ketchikan and before our return to Vancouver the following morning.

After a week that included Glacier Bay and three Alaska ports, the sea day provided a different opportunity to photograph and experience Queen Elizabeth. Rather than concentrating on a destination, the day was centered on the ship itself, the changing coastal scenery and the final hours of our Alaska voyage.

Built by Fincantieri at Monfalcone, Italy, Queen Elizabeth was delivered to Cunard in September 2010. At approximately 90,900 gross tons and 294 meters in length, she combines the design of a modern cruise ship with interiors and traditions influenced by Cunard's long passenger-ship history.
