January 25, 2026 | Los Angeles, California

Seven Seas Grandeur (Regent Seven Seas Cruises) is seen during the evening in Los Angeles, California, on January 25, 2026. The visit marked the scheduled start of her 16-night Stars & Salsa voyage to Miami through the Panama Canal, continuing the worldwide cruising career of the third Explorer-class ship.

Seven Seas Grandeur was seen during the evening in Los Angeles, California, on January 25, 2026. The Regent Seven Seas Cruises vessel was scheduled to begin a 16-night voyage from Southern California to Miami, combining Pacific-coast destinations, a Panama Canal transit and Caribbean calls. These photographs record the ship at the Los Angeles end of that journey.

Built by Fincantieri in Ancona, Italy, Seven Seas Grandeur entered service in November 2023. She followed Seven Seas Explorer and Seven Seas Splendor as the third ship in the Explorer class, continuing Regent’s development of purpose-built vessels centered on suite accommodation, private balconies and an extensive selection of restaurants and public rooms.

By January 2026, the ship had completed more than two years in service. Her Los Angeles visit placed this Italian-built vessel within the winter cruise activity of Southern California, while the evening setting provides the focus for this gallery. Her history also connects contemporary shipbuilding with an onboard collection of paintings, sculpture, textiles and a specially commissioned Fabergé egg.

History and Features

Construction in Ancona:

  • Seven Seas Grandeur was constructed at Fincantieri’s Ancona shipyard on Italy’s Adriatic coast.

  • Her construction continued the relationship between Fincantieri and Regent Seven Seas Cruises established through the earlier Explorer-class ships.

  • The ship was floated out in early 2023, allowing the remaining fitting-out work to proceed before delivery later that year.

  • Delivery in November 2023 completed the third vessel in the series.

  • Rather than being converted from an earlier passenger ship, she was designed and built specifically for Regent’s cruise operation.

The Explorer Class:

  • Seven Seas Explorer introduced the class in 2016.

  • Seven Seas Splendor followed in 2020, with Seven Seas Grandeur joining in 2023.

  • The three ships share an emphasis on suite accommodation and a comparatively small passenger complement for their size.

  • Their approximately 55,500-gross-ton scale provides room for multiple dining venues, lounges and outdoor passenger spaces.

  • Seven Seas Grandeur continued the class’s basic approach while introducing her own interior treatments and commissioned artwork.

Entry into Service:

  • The maiden voyage departed Trieste, Italy, on November 18, 2023, bound for Barcelona.

  • An Atlantic crossing subsequently brought the new ship to Miami.

  • Her christening took place there on December 10, 2023.

  • Sarah Fabergé, a founding member of the Fabergé Heritage Council and great-granddaughter of Peter Carl Fabergé, served as godmother.

  • The inaugural deployment included Mediterranean and Caribbean cruising, as well as Panama Canal voyages.

Suites and Passenger Spaces:

  • Passenger accommodation consists of suites with private balconies.

  • The accommodation ranges from smaller balcony suites to larger layouts with separate living and sleeping areas.

  • The Regent Suite occupies the upper end of the ship’s accommodation selection.

  • Public spaces extend the residential approach beyond the suites through lounges, restaurants and areas for quiet relaxation.

  • The overall arrangement places accommodation and shared passenger facilities at the center of the ship’s design.

Dining and Interior Design:

  • Compass Rose forms a principal part of the ship’s dining selection.

  • Prime 7 provides a steakhouse setting, while Chartreuse offers French dining.

  • Pacific Rim adds a pan-Asian restaurant to the range of venues.

  • La Veranda provides another dining setting within the ship’s passenger facilities.

  • These venues received individual designs, making the restaurants distinct spaces within the broader interior arrangement.

Art Aboard Seven Seas Grandeur:

  • The ship entered service with a collection of approximately 1,600 artworks.

  • The collection includes paintings, sculpture, photography and large textile installations.

  • Works by Pablo Picasso form part of the selection displayed aboard.

  • A bronze and hand-cast glass bonsai cherry tree sculpture marks the entrance to Pacific Rim.

  • Walter Goldfarb’s large tapestry, The Enchanted Tree, provides another substantial installation within the ship.

Journey in Jewels:

  • Fabergé created Journey in Jewels specifically for Seven Seas Grandeur.

  • The piece was introduced as the first Fabergé egg to reside permanently at sea.

  • Its design draws on ocean colors and the seven seas, connecting the commission with the ship’s identity.

  • The egg forms a focal point of the onboard art collection.

  • Its unveiling during the Miami christening linked the ship’s naming ceremony with the collaboration between Regent and Fabergé.

January 25, 2026 – Evening in Los Angeles:

  • The gallery records Seven Seas Grandeur in Los Angeles during the evening.

  • January 25 was the published departure date for the ship’s 16-night Stars & Salsa voyage to Miami.

  • Scheduled calls included Cabo San Lucas, Acapulco, Puerto Quetzal and Puntarenas before the Panama Canal.

  • Cartagena and George Town appeared in the Caribbean portion of the itinerary, ahead of arrival in Miami on February 10.

  • The photographs place the ship at the beginning of a voyage connecting the Pacific and Atlantic sides of the Americas.

  • OLP Social: The scheduled start of a 16-night voyage to Miami, linking Mexico and Central America with a Panama Canal transit and Caribbean calls.
