During an 11-day Northern European cruise aboard Cunard’s RMS Queen Mary 2, the ship made her inaugural visit to Ålesund, Norway, on July 15, 2004. Arriving early in the morning, Queen Mary 2 received a warm welcome from the city as residents gathered to celebrate her first call.

On July 22, 2022, the Color Fantasy (Color Line) was docked in Oslo, Norway, under cloudy skies. The vessel, renowned for its amenities and impressive size, stood majestically against the backdrop of the harbor, showcasing its design and modern features.

On July 15, 2004, the serene waters of Geirangerfjord in Norway served as a magnificent setting for the RMS Queen Mary 2 (Cunard Line). This majestic liner, surrounded by the towering cliffs and lush greenery of Geiranger, was captured in a series of photographs showcasing the dramatic scale of the fjords and the elegance of the ship.
CARNIVAL PARADISE
On August 31, 2007, the Carnival Paradise (Carnival Cruise Line) was docked in Long Beach, California, preparing to depart on a three-day cruise to Ensenada, Mexico. The Fantasy-class ship had been based in Long Beach since 2004, operating Carnival’s year-round short cruises to Baja California and Catalina Island.

On August 22, 2010, the Carnival Splendor (Carnival Cruise Line) was captured in the early morning light just outside Long Beach Harbor, CA, as it returned from a vibrant cruise to Mexico.

In a historic maritime event, the RMS Queen Mary 2 (Cunard Line) met its illustrious predecessor, the RMS Queen Mary (Cunard Line), for the first time in Long Beach harbor on February 23, 2006. This "Royal Rendezvous" marked a special moment in the annals of ocean travel, celebrated by thousands of spectators.

Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth 2 lights up the evening at Berth 93 in Los Angeles Harbor during her 2006 World Cruise. Her illuminated decks and distinctive funnel stand against the dark sky, capturing the presence of an ocean liner whose voyages connected generations of travelers with the traditions of life at sea. This photograph shows QE2 still in active service, more than three decades after her maiden crossing and less than three years before her retirement.

We sailed aboard Royal Caribbean’s Viking Serenade on a three-day cruise from Los Angeles to Ensenada in January 2001. These photographs show the ship docked in Ensenada during our visit, capturing a familiar part of Southern California cruising before she left Royal Caribbean’s fleet the following year.
